DESCRIPTION

Specific for nucleocapsid protein of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV). IgG_2b isotype. Reacts with 45 of 49 North American isolates, including Quebec LHVA-93-3, MN-1b, three NVSL isolates, vaccine strains RespPRRS® (Boehringer Ingelheim) and Prime Pac® PRRS (Schering Plough). Does not react with the European strain, LV. Suitable for immunoperoxidase, indirect immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation assays. Reactive to PRRSV antigen in formalin-fixed tissue. Not suitable for virus neutralization or Western blot. This monoclonal antibody is produced as mouse ascites fluid, clarified by centrifugation, and filtered through a 0.2 micrometer filter. The concentration is 1.0 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline, preserved with sodium azide.
